Ndlovu inspires City

Tottenham Hotspur 1 Anderton (83)
Coventry City 3 Ndlovu (32, 62p), Dublin (67)
Following the appointment of Ron Atkinson as manager in March 1995, the Sky Blues seemed to dispel any relegation fears with a nine match unbeaten run.
Yet a collapse in form left City requiring points from the final two games of the season to avoid relegation. The Sky Blues travelled to Tottenham on the back of a 2-0 defeat against relegated Ipswich Town for the penultimate game of the 1994/95 campaign.
Peter Ndlovu ran the show in the first half, causing the Spurs defence all sorts of problems and with 32 minutes gone, the Sky Blues took the lead through Ndlovu. The striker crept in at the back post to head home Gordon Strachan's pin point cross.
Ndlovu grabbed his second goal of the game courtesy of a penalty on 62. Strachan was hacked down by Justin Edinburgh and the Zimbabwean kept his composure to slot the ball past Ian Walker.
Five minutes later and City went 3-0 up when Strachan again provided a cross for Dion Dublin to hook home.
Tottenham grabbed a late consolation goal when Darren Anderton lobbed John Filan but the damage had already been done.
