Coleman happy with City progress
Chris Coleman is satisfied that the development of his Coventry City squad is well on track but is still looking to attract more new faces to the Ricoh Arena.
The Sky Blues boss has already secured three new signings in midfield duo Guillaume Beuzelin and Aron Einar Gunnarsson and highly regarded young goalkeeper Keiren Westwood and he believes that is good progress at this stage.
But Coleman wants to so more re-structuring throughout June and July to ensure the Sky Blues are in the best possible shape for the start of the 2008/09 season.
"We've made three new signings and we haven't kicked a ball yet," said Coleman. "But I don't think it's going to stop there.
"We hope there'll be other signings before the start of the season. We might lose one or two, that's the way football is, but it's been very fruitful so far.
"Everybody had a little break but we've carried on working to get new players in. The Chairman has done a lot of hard work, as have Andy Thorn, our head scout, myself, Steve Kean and Oggy.
"We've got three new players and fingers crossed there'll be another two or three still to come.
"Like I said, there's been a lot of hard work but we can't just sit back and think that's enough. We've got three new players and we know where we want to be and how we want to strengthen our squad."
Coleman added: "It's not going to take one transfer window to get to where we want to be, it will probably take two or three, but we are very happy with the three players we have got so far and we hope to have some more in before August 9."
