Dann desperate to impress
Scott Dann will be hoping to make his second England Under 21s appearance tonight as Stuart Pearce's side take on Wales in Wrexham.
The 21-year-old centre-back made his international debut against Poland back in March, coming on as a sub in the 65th minute. Dann will be looking to build on that experience tonight in a strong squad that includes Arsenal's Theo Walcott and Aston Villa's Gabriel Agbonlahor.
Also competing for places in England's defence are Portsmouth's Martin Cranie, Middlesbrough's Andrew Taylor and newly promoted Stoke's Ryan Shawcross while team mate Danny Fox is sidelined through injury.
Speaking to the FA's official website, Pearce had encouraging words for both Dann and Fox.
"Danny Fox did well last time out and Scott Dann has done well in training, and has to try and push his way through now."
