Zavon's parting gift
He may have returned to West Ham following his short stint at Coventry City but Zavon Hines took time out of his schedule to reward pupils at a local school for their hard work when it comes to keeping fit.
Zavon went along to Christ the King Junior School in Coundon to visit students who are amongst the most active in the city.
The youngsters had worked hard to increase the amount of physical activities done in normal school classes, taking part in nearly three hours additional exercise each week.
As part of their reward, the class were delighted to meet Zavon, who made seven appearances during his loan stint at the Ricoh Arena, scoring one goal.
The pupils threw questions galore at the nippy striker and were apparently talking about the visit for days to come.
It was the first time that Zavon had attened a CCFC community visit and he admitted it was a great experience.
"I really enjoyed it," he said. "The kids have done really well to do so much physical activity and I didn't mind answering their questions. There were some really funny ones."
The visit was part of a new initiative by West Coventry School Sports Partnership and the Sky Blues to encourage physical activity in over 50 primary schools in Coventry.
