Early Bird Extension
Coventry City Football Club has extended its offer of reduced priced season tickets until June 30 *.
Having secured their status in the Championship, the 2008/2009 campaign promises to be a hugely exciting season for the Sky Blues, with Chris Coleman embarking on his first full season as City manager and Chairman Ray Ranson already stating that money will be made available for new signings.
The Club is keen to make the cheapest season ticket prices available to as many fans as possible to ensure the Ricoh Arena is packed to the rafters in 2008/09.
Supporters originally had until Friday May 16 to purchase season tickets at the cheapest "Early Bird" prices but after careful consideration, the decision has been made to extend this deadline to Monday June 30, for those who can pay by cash or credit/debit card in one up front payment.
If fans wish to guarantee their existing seat, they must apply by the original deadline of May 16. After this date, all seats within the Ricoh Arena will be released for general sale.
Also, if supporters want to pay for their season ticket by direct debit, using the 10-month interest free payment plan, they must have their application in by 5pm on Friday May 16.
Coventry City Chairman Ray Ranson explained: "We have extended our Early Bird prices to enable any supporters who are undecided about purchasing a season ticket more time to do so at the cheapest prices.
"We desperately want an electric atmosphere inside Ricoh for what I am sure will be a far more exciting season for our loyal fans than the one they have just experienced.
"We are well aware that many of our supporters were hanging on to find out what division we would be in before purchasing their season ticket.
"Having stayed up we are now looking to challenge at the other end of the table next season and in order to do so we must have as many fans as possible packing the Ricoh.
"I think the final home game against Wolves proved that, with a larger gate at the Ricoh, we can create one of the best atmospheres in the division and that can certainly make a difference to how we perform.
"We have, as people know, drawn up a list of players that Chris would like to strengthen the squad to try to ensure that we are figuring at the other end of the table. We are already following up that list.
"We also appreciate that currently finances are hard for many people at the moment so we have taken the decision to extend the deadline until the end of June to allow as many people as possible to take advantage of the cheapest prices."
The cheapest adult season ticket at Early Bird prices is just £296. After June 30 the cheapest adult season ticket price will increase to £344 so by purchasing early fans will save themselves nearly £50.
