A big thank-you to all the Sky Blues fans who turned out in record numbers at the weekend to cheer on City in their crunch clash against Wolves.

An attendance of 27,992 was the biggest ever crowd for a Sky Blues league encounter at the Ricoh, beating the previous record of 27,212, set against Birmingham last season.

In fact it was the biggest crowd at a Coventry City league match since January 1980 when 31,644 watched us beat Liverpool 1-0.

All-in-all it was an exciting weekend at the Ricoh Arena, with over 30,000 rugby fans attending the venue on Sunday to watch Munster overcome Saracens 18-16 in the Heineken Cup semi-final.
