Two City stars have been named in the Championship Team of the Week after the Sky Blues' stunning 5-1 win over Colchester.

Unsurprisingly Elliott Ward has made the line-up after his two penalties played a huge part in City's biggest away win in four years, since they beat Walsall 6-1.

The centre-half has been City's designated penalty taker ever since he netted from the spot in the FA Cup victory over Blackburn in January and his double against the U's maintained his 100 per cent record, taking his tally to six for the season.

It was the first time two penalties have been scored in one game by the same player since Gary McAllister achieved the feat in a League Cup encounter against Blackpool in September 1997 against Blackpool and the first time in the league since 1986 when Brian Kilcline scored two in a 4-4 draw with Birmingham.

Also named in the side is Michael Mifsud, whose pace and trickery caused the U's all sort of problems and led to both of City's penalties.
