School children from two local primary schools got to meet City stars Julian Gray and Ben Turner this week as part of a drive to increase the amount of exercise done in classes.

Class '1 Blue' at Coundon Primary School and Year 4 at Limbrick Wood were celebrating beating off the competition as part of the West Coventry Partnership exercise scheme. The scheme sees schools from the region competing against each other to incorporate physical activity into lessons such as Maths and English.

Julian Gray visited pupils at Coundon Primary, who were out to impress City's winger as they took part in a variety of balance and speed relays. The children had also prepared some difficult questions for Gray who stayed to sign autographs for the class.

Year 4 at Limbrick Wood were treated to a visit from defender Ben Turner. Turner took part in a literacy class with a twist, reading the story 'The Smiley Shark' to the class before the children played a game based on the characters in the book. He also stayed to answer the children's questions and sign autographs.

"It was great to see the children enjoying their activities" said Turner. "I think it's important to encourage children to do more at a young age because it's a good habit to have."
