Andy Marshall celebrated his 33rd birthday today by signing a one-year contract extension.

The goalkeeper put pen to paper on the deal late this afternoon, which sees him commit to the Club until June 2009.

Marshall said he was delighted to stay with the Sky Blues and is looking forward to next season.

"I have really enjoyed my time with Coventry City," said the 0607 Player of the Year.

"It's a great Club and I feel that we have the potential to progress, especially under the new regime.

"This season has been difficult for a number of reasons, but I firmly believe that good times are ahead and I am looking forward to working with everyone at the Club for another year."
