Trio join Sky Blues backroom staff
Ray Ranson and Chris Coleman have added three members to the Club's backroom team as Coventry City takes shape for the future.
John Murtough joins the Sky Blues as Performance Director and will oversee various aspects of the Club, including sports science, prozone and player recruitment.
John is no stranger to Coleman, having previously worked as Academy Director at Fulham when the Sky Blues boss was manager of the Premiership club. He previously spent a spell at Everton.
Mark Howard joins the Sky Blues as fitness coach. A former member of Sam Allardyce's backroom staff, he worked for Bolton Wanderers before following Allardyce to Newcastle United last summer. Mark replaces John Harbin, who is set to leave the Club at the end of the season.
Andy Thorn joins the Club as UK and European Scout. A team-mate of Ray Ranson at Newcastle United in the late 1980s, Andy has previously worked for Ipswich, Fulham and Everton.
Ray Ranson said he was delighted all three had opted to join the Sky Blues.
"I am really pleased that Coventry City has managed to attract staff of the calibre of John, Mark and Andy.
"Each brings their own unique area of expertise and Chris and I are both looking forward to working them and further developing the structure of the Club."
