Dimi Konstantopoulos is set to be sidelined for around six months after rupturing his achilles.

The goalkeeper had an operation this morning and will not be able to play for a considerable length of time.

The Greek sustained the injury while training with Nottingham Forest, who he only joined on loan on Thursday.

Said Chris Coleman: "This a terrible injury and I really feel for Dimi.

"He will need to strong mentally to come through this but I have no doubt that he will be back playing at the earliest possible opportunity."
