Glentoran 1 Coventry City 2
Colin Hawkins and Leon McKenzie notched up the goals in the match, which is the Sky Blues' first on their pre-season tour of Northern Ireland.
Colin Nixon, playing in his testimonial, made it 2-1 with a controversial penalty late in the game.
Iain Dowie fielded three of his new signings for the trip to the Oval.
Dimi Konstantopoulos started in goal for the Sky Blues against the Glens, while Gary Borrowdale played at left-back, with Leon Best up front.

David McNamee started the game at right-back, with Robert Page and Hawkins in the centre of defence. With Jay Tabb on the left hand side of midfield and Wayne Andrews on the right, Stephen Hughes and Isaac Osbourne made up the central midfield partnership. McKenzie partnered Best up front. Page skippered the side in the match.
Both sides battled for possession in the opening part of the match, before Hughes forced a corner with a shot at the near post on 17 minutes.
However, the best chance of the match so far arrived seven minutes later, when Page's through ball found McKenzie, who forced keeper Michael Dougherty into an excellent save. Moments later, the striker had an opportunity for another when he headed wide from a Hughes cross.
Although Glentoran were not scared to play some attacking football of their own, it was Coventry who were boasting more of the space and possession.

The Sky Blues started the second half strongly and on 47 minutes, Dowie's men took the lead. Osbourne's corner floated into the area and Hawkins made no mistake as he stabbed the ball home from five yards.
On 53 minutes, City made it 2-0. The Glens failed to clear their lines and as Best tried to wrap his foot around the ball, McKenzie made no mistake as he finished from close range.
Konstantopoulos saved from a free header by Morgan just before the hour, before the big Greek saved from the same player just moment later as the home side tried to pull one back.
That happened just before the end when a Hawkins hand ball gave the home side a dubious-looking penalty, which Nixon coolly slotted home to make it 2-1 to the home side with four minutes to go.
