COMPETITION TIME!
Spring has officially sprung so why not make the most of the school breaks and get down to the Butterfly Farm in Stratford? And it's not all pretty colours and wings - there is a load to see and do there. Why not take a trip into insect city where you can see leaf-cutter ants walking above your head on their tireless mission or step into the mini-beast section where there are giant millipedes, snails and crabs.
For the braver explorer Arachnoland is a must. Arachnoland boasts over 15 types of spider and scorpion from the tiny Black Widow to Giant Tarantulas. The farms spectacular exhibit even shows large Imperial scorpions glowing in the dark!
All this as well as watching hundreds of the world's most spectacular and colourful butterflies flying all around. You can see them feeding and flying in a tropical environment and find out about their amazing lifecycles in the Caterpillar Room where some of the worlds largest, spikiest, hairiest and most camouflaged caterpillars are on show with cocoons, giant silkmoths and shining pupae hanging on the plants.
