Through the Charter Standard the FA seeks to establish, reward and encourage good practice at grass roots level so that parents and children can demand a minimum standard of provision from clubs, schools and holiday courses.

Said Coventry City Manager Iain Dowie: "I think the hard work of the Football in the Community Department is integral to the ongoing prosperity of Coventry City Football Club.

We must ensure we continue to expand in this area to ensure as many youngsters as possible enjoy top quality coaching and are encouraged to lead healty lifestyles and hopefully support the Sky Blues."
