Ashley Cain was the only scorer for Coventry City's Under 18 as they lost 3-1 to Reading at the Alan Higgs Centre on Saturday morning.

Winger Cain was on target for the second week running after netting a 3-0 friendly win over Derby County last weekend.

But it wasn't enough for the young Sky Blues, who boasted reserve-team striker Donovan Simmonds in attack, as they conceded all three goals from free-kick situations to suffer a third consecutive defeat in the FA Premier Academy League.
